JP Painter
OVERVIEW | JP’s design experience links the human capacity for imagination with the beauty of the natural world. They focus on clarity of message, functional design and visionary partnerships. Their work is characterized by combining big, bold and beautiful images to create unforgettable, charming imagery and experiences.
JP approaches design with an eye for equity, inclusion and wider visual representation — including LGBTQIA+, disability and body-positive perspectives.
EXPERIENCE | JP’s career has taken them from construction sites to state capitol buildings to downtown high-rises. They’ve approached each opportunity as an empathy-led creative with deep curiosity.
Their personal design style finds harmony between the discipline of minimalism and a penchant for maximalism. While they emphasize clear, impactful communication, their design style is often tongue-in-cheek and finds its inspiration in both pop art and data visualization.
They have infused energy, clarity, and playfulness into social media campaigns, print assets, arena-scale activations, educational videos and digital magazines for Moda Health, Basic Rights Oregon, Portland General Electric and other state and regional clients.
EDUCATION | B.A. in graphic design and communications, Humboldt State University
